Continuing the successful series of the India International Food & Wine Show (IFOWS 2006), Lotus Exhibitions and Marketing Services (LEMS) presents the 4th edition of the much-acclaimed show from 19th to 21st January at Taj Palace Hotel and Convention Centre, New Delhi.
India's most powerful show for gourmet food, wines, other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, brings together yet again the world's finest foods, wines, other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on a single platform.
IFOWS attracts some of the finest international brands in the arena. Not just an exhibition but also a comprehensive show featuring high quality foods and wine tasting sessions by experts, seminars and presentations, IFOWS offers many unique opportunities and platforms for promotions.
The 4th Edition of IFOWS will see more than one hundred participants from about 15 countries with country level participation by some of the finest wine and food manufacturers from France, Italy, South Africa and Ireland. Ireland will showcase, for the first time in India, many a fabled spirits for which the country is famous all over the world.
This year, IFOWS is privileged to have been chosen as platform by Vinitaly -the world's largest exhibition of wines and spirits held every year in the beautiful city of Verona- to launch the Indian leg of “Vinitaly World Wine Tour”. The event, aptly named Vinitaly India, will be staged in Mumbai on 17th January and in New Delhi on 19th January 2006. It will bring together over 50 Italian brands including 18 of Italy's finest and most prestigious wine producers, all members of "Grandi Marchi" Institute of Fine Italian wines and representing the very essence of the Italian wine making culture. Besides, there will be a range of Italian wines presented by the President of the International Sommelier Association who will pair them with various Indian dishes. Many of these wines are not yet available on the Indian market. So these guided tastings, which will include presentation in many cases by the top winery representative, promise to offer a host of opportunities to people from trade and food and wine journalists alike, to taste exceptional wines and study new trends prevailing in the world market.
IFOWS 2006 also brings back its much appreciated and popular concurrent events. These include the IFOWS Culinary cup, the IFOWS Gourmet Safari and the IFOWS Grand Italian Gala. Kick-starting the 3-day fiesta will be the IFOWS Culinary Cup on Jan. 18-19, 2006, a unique chef competition where chefs from leading hotels and restaurants will mesmerize the audience with |
